Check the server region and login first
A character in another region can look like lost progress.
- Stop creating new characters. Record the account email, current UID if visible, and the region on the login screen.
- Switch to the region where you originally played, then look for the existing character. The developer explicitly lists wrong-region selection as one cause of apparent progress loss.
- If you played on multiple devices, sign in through the same account and region. Official launch guidance says progress is shared across platforms within the same region, not across different regions.
Done when: Your original character returns. If not, continue with the correct branch below.
Choose the recovery branch that matches what happened
The developer asks a different question if a replacement character has already been made.
- If you made a new character after losing the old one, check your registered email and spam folder for the developer’s account-choice survey. The developer says it needs your choice because the new character may have progress or purchases.
- If you did not make a new character, the developer says the original progress should have been restored. Check the original region again before filing a report.
- If neither branch resolves it, do not delete, unlink, or merge accounts yourself. A binding conflict or unexpected new Steam character needs individual support review.
Done when: You know whether you are waiting on the official survey or need to open a support case.
Escalate with the information support requested
Send account details only to the developer’s support channel, never to us or a public forum.
- Use the in-game Support menu/F10 or email aniimo_support@aniimo.com from the address tied to the account. Include your UID, login email, server region, and log file if available.
- Describe when the character was last seen, whether a new one was created, and whether a survey arrived. If you have a purchase on either character, mention it in the private support case.
- The developer described processing survey submissions within 72 hours of receiving them; that is its stated target, not our guarantee. Follow up through official support if the case remains unresolved.
Done when: You have an official case with enough information to identify the original and any replacement character.
